If the course section you are interested in is full, follow these steps to add your child to the waitlist in MyCTY:

  • Click “+” next to your chosen section of the course
  • Click “Join Wait List”
  • Click “Checkout”
  • Click “Add/Remove Members” and select your child
  • Click “Waitlist Members”
  • Click “Checkout”
  • Click “Continue Checkout”
  • Navigate to the Academic History page, select “View Academic History,” and click the “Wait Listed” tab to view your child’s waitlisted course(s)

Our waitlist operates on a first-come, first-served basis. A student may be on the waitlist for up to five courses at a time. While we are unable to provide specific rankings or predict when a spot may become available for a specific child, we will email families directly if a spot becomes available in a waitlisted course.


After we send the email, you will have 72 hours to complete registration and secure the seat. If registration is not completed within that time, the student will move to the end of the waitlist, and we will notify the next student in line.


Here’s how to proceed with registration after a spot opens on the waitlist:

  • Log into your MyCTY account to accept the invitation
  • Click “Academic History” in the left menu and click the “View Academic History” button next to the correct student
  • Click the waitlist tab and click the “Enroll” button to enroll the student in the course, or “Remove” to remove them from the waitlist if you are no longer interested

NOTE: Families are responsible for actively managing their student’s placement on all waitlists. If you are no longer interested in a course or program, you must log in to MyCTY and remove the student from that waitlist. This is especially important when a student is on waitlists for both online and in-person courses, as accepting one seat does not automatically remove from a conflicting enrollment or from other waitlists.
