The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth offers hundreds of challenging and fun in-person and online courses for academically advanced students in grades 2-12. Once they have joined CTY, full-time JHU employees can apply their 50% tuition remission benefit toward enrollment in courses for which their child is eligible.   

 

Ready to enroll? Follow these steps to apply the tuition remission benefit:  

  • Log in to your MyCTY account. 
  • Select a course and section.  
  • Click “Add to Cart.”  
  • Click “Add/Remove Members” and add a student to the course. 
  • Click “Checkout.”  
  • Under “Select a Payment Method,” click “Tuition Remission.”  
  • Select “Tuition Remission” from the dropdown menu. 
  • Confirm the policy agreement. 
  • Select “Continue Checkout.” 
  • Proceed to the Tuition Remission page and click on the link for the “Johns Hopkins Tuition Remission Benefit Application.” 
  • Download and complete the form within three days and upload it to your MyCTY account using the “File Upload” link in the left menu. If the required form is not received or the applicant is ineligible for the tuition remission benefit, an invoice for the full tuition amount will be sent. In these cases, unpaid balances will result in your child being unenrolled from their program. 

 

Note: 

  • If both parents are JHU employees, a separate form is required for each parent. 
  • If you have enrolled in multiple courses, a separate form is required for each course. 

 

Once your tuition remission form(s) is received, and upon JHU tuition remission eligibility approval, the benefit will be posted to your child’s account, you will be invoiced for the remaining balance.
