If your child started taking the test, but it's the wrong version

Please reach out to ctyinfo@jhu.edu so that we may help reschedule you a new test with the correct version.

If your child was supposed to have 50% more time on each section of the test, but the timer shows 20 minutes for the section

If the student has received an accommodation for extra time and the student is not receiving the extra time, please stop the exam and reach out to CTY at ctyinfo@jhu.edu.

If your child has a question during the test

Parents cannot assist during the test. Al test sessions are recorded, and the AI proctoring software will note any assistance as an anomaly. The only exception is if a student has a documented and approved accommodation request that specifies parental assistance.

Taking breaks/snacking during the Online SCAT

A 10-minute break is provided in between the Verbal and Quantitative sections. No other breaks are provided. If a student leaves the room at any point during the testing session, including the break, the recording will note that the individual has left the testing area.

Food is only allowed before the start of the test and during the break, unless there is an approved medical accommodation.
