A student’s IEP/504 or other school learning plan does not automatically transfer to the CTY setting; however, CTY has a process in place to work with you so your child has appropriate support for their test or CTY course. In our online and summer courses, the structure and format may require different accommodations. Thus, CTY Disability Services reviews each child’s needs on a case-by-case basis to determine what accommodation(s) a child may need in a particular program or course.
To request accommodations:
- Log in to your parent MyCTY account
- From the left menu, click: “Accommodations for CTY Courses and SCAT/STB Testing”
- Click the link: “Request/Review Accommodations via CTY’s AIM System”
- Follow the instructions to log in, complete the request form, and upload documentation
- You’ll be asked to verify your email and complete an online accommodations request form
- You only need to complete the full request form once. If your child returns to CTY in the future, you’ll be able to renew accommodations through the AIM platform
- If you have documentation supporting your request (such as a psychoeducational evaluation or physician’s letter), please upload it where prompted. This can help expedite the review process
After you submit your request, you will receive a confirmation email. No further action is required until you are contacted by CTY Disability Services. If you do not hear back within two weeks, or if you need assistance, please contact cty-disabilities@jhu.edu.
