Historically, students have qualified for SET by taking the SAT and meeting score eligibility requirements. Members gain access to SET counseling and services

However, the College Board announced that as of July 1, 2021 it is no longer allowing students under age 13 to take the SAT due to cited federal regulations and other logistical challenges.

CTY is therefore suspending new admissions to SET students who do not have a qualifying SAT score dated before July 1, 2021 while we research other testing options for SET eligibility. We will continue to provide counseling and services to current SET members.

All other testing options including the Online School and College Ability Test are available for students to qualify for CTY courses.  CTY is also running a pilot program through June 30, 2022 to conduct research on test identification methods and is accepting qualifying scores on a variety of tests your child may have already taken.
